Ghana’s best rapper, Sarkodie has revealed in a fresh interview that he has felt the burden of rapping for ten years non stop, pointing out that doing so for ten years is no mean feat, the reason why he had to stop doing freestyles.
Speaking in an interview on Nigeria’s Citi FM, the SarkCess Music boss pointed out that his growth in the music industry has ensured that he has become more analytical in his craft, putting emphasis on quality rather than quality.” Do you know how hard it is to rap for ten years without repeating your self? I was a type of guy who use to write lyrics as soon as soon as I hear beat, now i take my time to write them. Is not about me getting weak, but I love perfection. The more I grow, the more I must take my time to do good music.”
“After I have been in the rap music for over ten years, I have stopped making freestyles on beat, because I don’t want to repeat any of my lyrics in my songs again.”
Sarkodie in other news revealed events that unfolded, leading him to working with Nigeria’s Oxlade for his ‘Non Living Thing’ song.
