Just days after think tank, the Institute of Energy and Security projected that the prices of Petrol and Diesel at local pumps in Ghana to hit the GHC7 mark, the projections are now reality as Ghanaians are set to purchase a litre of fuel at approximately GHC7.05 for diesel and GHC6.99 for petrol.
Total, one of the leading fuel filling stations in the country has also adjusted their prices to tally with the new prices as their diesel is now being sold at GHC7.05 and their petrol sold at GHC6.99
SHELL and other fuel filling stations across the country have also adjusted their prices to tally with the increments.
The Institute of Energy and Security had projected a 7.42% and 9.46% in brent and gasoline prices respectively.
“Following the positive global shift in prices, consumers should expect an increase in local fuel prices moving forward. Ghanaians should expect fuel prices this year to rise from 6.70 pesewas to 7 cedis per litre at the pumps,” the Institute of Energy and Security forewarned a few days back.
