Cattle Turn Mahama’s Abandoned New Edubiase Stadium Into Grazing Grounds

Former President John Dramani Mahama’s uncompleted and now abandoned New Edubiase Sports Stadium in the Ashanti Region has been reduced to the grazing grounds of cattle and other animals.

The stadium is reported to have been 40% into its completion but has been abandoned for several years now since the change in Government and has now become the feeding grounds for ruminants.

Joseph Yammin, the former Minister of Sports under the NDC and John Mahama led administration, speaking on the current state of the stadium in an interview with Osei Kwadwo on Ambassador TV expressed his worry but lack of surprise at the abandonment of the project by the incumbent

“The New Edubiase Sports Stadium project was part of the Cocoa Roads contract and it was financed by Cocoa Board. The NDC administration led by John Dramani Mahama secured funds for the project before cutting the sod for the construction of the project but the sad aspect is the project has been abandoned for so many years”, Yammin said
