Ghanaian football icon, Asamoah Gyan will be one of the football minds to feature as a pundit on Supersports to give in-depth analysis on games during the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.
The former Sunderland and Al Ain striker did not make it into Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac’s final 28-man list to represent Ghana at the AFCON and will have to settle for cheering his teammates on TV while also offering his thoughts on matches as a pundit.
The last time Gyan featured for the National team was far back as 2019, at the AFCON in Egypt, in which the Black Stars exited the tournament at the Round of 16.
With the biggest continental tournament in Africa set to kick off on Sunday, Gyan has confirmed that he will be working with Supersports as a pundit during the tournament.
“Excited to be joining @SuperSportTV as a Pundit for their coverage of #AFCON2021 This has been in the works for some time and I am excited about the challenge,” Gyan tweeted.
“Looking forward to sharing my knowledge on Africa’s biggest football gathering together with other legends.”
