Bishop Charles Agyinasare in a commentary on the growing unemployment rate in the country, has propounded a possible solution that could take some of the weight of Government, if only they would listen.
The Bishop during ministration at his 31st December Watch Night Service noted that he his recent travels to foreign lands, he met with Ghanaian students who had been granted scholarships to study abroad and they all expressed concern over returning to the country and having to join the unemployed.
He noted that these students are very much afraid of the no-jobs situation in the country and therefore do not look forward to coming home after completing their studies abroad.
He therefore proposed on the night that instead of GETFund and other bodies giving scholarships to students to study abroad with expectations that they return home after completing their studies, they rather be granted permission to seek jobs abroad after completing their studies.
Noting that it would be a win win for all involved as the students would not come home to add to the already many unemployed and will earn and pay tax thereby helping the country in revenue generation.
