We Will Be Pushing Matters Of National Interest Henceforth – Wa Central MP

The Member of Parliament of Wa Central constituency, Rashid Hassan Pelpuo has reiterated the intentions of the minority caucus in parliament to from henceforth throw out matters that do not serve the best interest of Ghanaians out of Parliament and Government business.

Taking the constitution of parliament into consideration, without a clear cut majority with the majority caucus being 138 and minority being 137, he observed that minority has never been well placed like now to hold Government accountable.

“Government cannot be autocratic in its decision and cannot just control parliament the way they want it”, he added.

Rashid Pelpuo in an interview on JoyNews monitored by Ghanajoint, com stressed that Members of Parliament are voted into parliament by the people and have a responsibility to pursue the interest of Ghanaias in parliament and not party interests.

“You cannot say you would protect the public purse and you would go around borrowing with anything to show of it and then come for more; we would ask you what you did with the rest of the money. An if you cannot provide enough explanation, we would throw out your business”, he said.
