Tamale Technical University Sacks 193 Students Over Examination Malpractice

193 students of the Tamale Technical University have had the statuses as students of the University revoked for having engaged in various acts of examination malpractices during the recently ended examination held by the University.

In a statement released by the University, it noted that 196 students had reportedly engaged in some form of examination malfeasance which includes but not limited to the carrying of foreign materials such as electronic devices or hand written notes into the exam hall.

Their rustication from the school comes following a resolution reached by the sitting of a Disciplinary Committee for Junior Members.

“Pursuant to statute 51 of the statutes of Tamale Technical University, a Disciplinary Committee for Junior Members of the University was set to look into various examination malpractices for the 2021 second semester examination period”

“One hundred and ninety three (193) cases were found culpable of the offenses against them which involved bringing foreign materials into the examination room which included: mobile phones, electronic wrist watches, hand written notes on pieces of papers, written inscriptions on veils, scarfs, handkerchiefs, bodily palm, and bodily thigh”
