COVID-19: Over 1000 New Cases Recorded Daily As Ghana’s Active Cases Catapults To 6,361

There is is reason to worry as Ghana records over 1000 new corona virus cases in the last 24 hours.

The increase in the corona virus cases has been attributed to the Omicron variant which is said to have a high transmission rate and also the festive season is playing its role in the increase in corona virus cases.

From our last check per statistics from the Ghana Health Service, the country has had its active COVID-19 case count rise to 6,361, with the death toll sitting at 1,277.

The United States of America has however donated over a million of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines to Ghana, in the spirit of Christmas and giving, to be used in our fight against the pandemic.

United States Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie Sullivan, met with the Ghana Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu last Friday at the Kotoka International Airport to take delivery of the newly arrived 1.7 million COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines.
