Regional Maritime University Suspend Vice-Chancellor Indefintely Of Corruption Allegations

Regional Maritime University Vice-chancellor, Professor Elvis Nyarko has been suspended indefinitely by the school over allegations of extortion, financial malfeasance and corruption leveled against him.

His suspension was pronounced by the University Board after they received a anonymous communique from a concerned staff of the University on what is said to be allegations of extortion and disrespect, allegations Professor Elvis Nyarko has vehemently denied

Pro-Vice Chancellor of Regional Maritime University, Dr. Jetro W.Brooks Jnr will now act as the vice-chancellor of the school whiles investigations are still ongoing into the allegations leveled against Professor Elvis Nyarko.

According to the communique from the group, the school was deserving of a much better leader who is morally upright and with a professional relationship with school staff irrespective of rank or title.

It was also added that Professor Elvis Nyarko inherited $3 million prior to his assuming office as vice-chancellor as reserved funds which has been reduced to $1 million with nothing to show for the expenditure

He is also accused of requesting money from contractors and suppliers if they wanted to do business with the school and failure to meet his demands meant contracts are not signed no matter how qualified they are or how much the school stands to gain

Professor Elvis Nyarko now faces an uphill task to proof his innocence and clear his name
