You Betrayed Ghanaians When You Approved Ken Ofori-Atta As The Finance Minister – Martin Amidu Blasts The Minority For Being Part Of The Country’s Woes

Former Special Prosecutor of the nation, Martin Amidu is not ready to be taken in by the public display of the minority to fight against the approval of the 2022 national budget statement and economic policy document.

According to him, the minority side of parliament are equally to blame for what Ghanaians are to go through if Government should persist with implementing the budget, reminding them of the disservice to Ghanaians in going on to approve Ken Ofori-Atta as the minister of finance.

He also suggested that the interest of the ordinary Ghanaian is never at heart in the decision making of the political elite and that is why we continue to have such policies rearing their heads when everyone keeps kicking against them

“This is the same Minority in Parliament with its National Executive outside Parliament who shamelessly let the people of this country down in March and June 2021 during the approval of Ministers and Deputy Ministers for appointment by the President.”

“The Minority’s betrayal of this nation on 29th March 2021 is what has particularly burdened the country with a Minister of Finance who is supporting a democratic-autocratic President in wreaking havoc on the economic wellbeing of Ghanaians without any guarantee that the public purse may not be looted,” Martin Amidu said in a latest release.
