Ghanaians Warned Over Potential Increase In COVID-19 During The Festive Season

Obeng Manu, Editor of the Ghanaian publisher has said what many know but are afraid to say. The Editor of the Ghanaian publisher has warned Ghanaians that in all the celebratory mood of the coming festive season, we may have to as a country contend with an increase in COVID-19 cases.

It is his believe that the coming in of Ghanaians abroad and foreigners and also in the heat of the excitement of the festive season and the forming of big grounds, we may be dealt with a new wave of COVID-19 cases.

He noted that one may still contract the virus even after vaccination, nonetheless encouraged Ghanaians who have not vaccinated to get themselves vaccinated to protect themselves, their friends, loved once and the country as a whole.

Giving his opening submission in an interview on the Happy Morning Show, Mr. Obeng Manu told Samuel Eshun, “The Ghana Health Service have held discussions with relevant stakeholders, with regards to their vaccination this month. Covid has become very unpredictable than ever and we still haven’t found out when it would end. We had first wave with the the original outbreak from China, then the second, third and now we’ve been informed of a fourth wave. The situation is becoming more incomprehensible and worrying but we still trust our doctors and medical practitioners in the space.”

“When you take the vaccine, you may still get the virus but the danger is less than anything else. The good news is the vaccinations have been pushed into the system, it’s now more common so I entreat Ghanaians to go for their jabs.”
